MAF Lagoon Pumping Notice Type: Sources Sought
04 March 2024
1. Notice: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. PROJECT TITLE: Requirements Contract for service to pump liquid from 15 Missile Alert Facilities (MAFs) sewage lagoons for the 10th MS, 12th MS, and 490th MS in accordance with the attached Lagoon Pumping Performance Work Statement
(PWS).
1.1 The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist to assist in determining if this effort can be a Small Business Set-Aside. Also, to determine if there are enough vendors to promote competition and to determine Socioeconomic Small Business capabilities of satisfying the requirement. The NAICS is 562991, Septic Tank and Related Services, with a small business size standard of $9.0M. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving teaming should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. Finally, please indicate your ability to register under the NAICS 562991 if your company is currently not registered under that NAICS.
1.2 Below is a Contractor Capability Survey, which allows you to provide your company’s capability.
Additionally, the attachment is a Performance Work Statement (PWS), which contains the MAF Lagoons Location Map.
1.3 If the Government decides to conduct procurement because of the market research, a solicitation synopsis combination of that procurement will be posted to SAM. Interested companies are requested to submit a summary outline of their qualifications to conduct lagoon pumping at the Missile Alert Facilities. References to vendor web pages will not be accepted.
1.4 Please note that we cannot return your submissions to you.
1.5 Small businesses are highly encouraged to participate in this Market Research.
2. This request for Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or material. No contract award will be made because of this sources sought synopsis. This information is provided to the government at no cost.
