About this file
This is a Sources Sought notice for market research purposes related to an elevator maintenance contract at Malmstrom Air Force Base (MAFB). The 341st Civil Engineering Squadron seeks to identify potential contractors capable of providing full maintenance, repair, and inspection services for vertical transportation equipment (VTE), including freight and passenger elevators, escalators, wheelchair/stair lifts, dock levelers, and dumbwaiters at the main base and remote Missile Alert Facilities. The NAICS code is 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors) with a small business size standard of $19.0 million. The Government is particularly interested in identifying small business sources, including 8(a) certified, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned Small Business concerns to determine if the procurement can be set aside for small businesses and whether adequate competition exists.
Interested parties must submit a summary outline of qualifications by 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on March 18, 2026, to barek.webster@us.af.mil. Responses should include company business information, CAGE code, small business certifications held, teaming arrangements if applicable, and descriptions of similar services provided to government and commercial customers over the past three years. This is a market research effort only and does not constitute a solicitation or obligation to award a contract. A separate pre-solicitation synopsis will be posted to SAM.gov if the Government proceeds with procurement. Contact: AMN Barek Webster, (406) 731-4004.
