About this file

This is a Sources Sought document for a solid-state disintegrator system. The Department of the Air Force Space Command is seeking information on commercially available media disintegrators capable of destroying solid-state drives (SSDs) and other media in compliance with NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12. The required system must be listed on the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List (EPL) for Solid State Media Disintegrators and must reduce media to a final particle size of 2mm or less. This is a pre-solicitation notice intended to gather market intelligence on available products before issuing a formal solicitation.

The sources sought notice allows interested vendors to provide information about their disintegrator products and capabilities. Potential vendors should ensure their equipment meets the NSA/CSS certification requirements and can achieve the specified particle size reduction specifications. A formal solicitation (FA2543SM001) is anticipated to follow this pre-solicitation phase, which will contain detailed technical requirements, evaluation criteria, and procurement terms and conditions.

1. INTRODUCTION

This is a Sources Sought notice issued for market research and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). No contract will be awarded from this announcement, and the Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this notice.

The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources, including small businesses, capable of providing a dual-stage Solid State Drive (SSD) Disintegrator that meets the strict security, physical, and electrical requirements of HQ ARPC.

2. REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION

The Government requires a solid-state drive (SSD) shredder compliant with NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12 (Storage Device Sanitization and Destruction Manual). The system must physically destroy solid-state storage media (including memory cards, thumb drives, cell phones, tablets, and SSDs) and optical media to a maximum 2mm particle size.

Interested vendors must be able to provide a product that meets the following minimum characteristics:

· Security Certification: Must be explicitly listed on the NSA Evaluated Products List for Solid State Media Disintegrators.

· Dimensions & Weight: The device must fit within a footprint of 50” W x 55” D x 65” H and must be 2200 lbs. or less.

· Acoustic & Filtration Limits: Operational noise level must be 85 dB or less. Must feature integrated internal dust collection with dual-stage filtration (pre-filter and HEPA filter) for safe indoor exhaust.

· Operation: Automatic push-button operation, integrated bin-full sensor, and a built-in internal system to automatically reverse and clear jams. Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) compliant main power switch.

· Delivery: Delivery must be completed within 60 days After Receipt of Order (ARO) to Buckley SFB, CO. On-site installation is not required.

3. QUESTIONS FOR INDUSTRY

Please provide direct, concise responses to the following questions regarding your proposed equipment and capabilities:

Logistics & Delivery:

· Is the proposed SSD disintegrator in stock, or do you have an anticipated lead-time for delivery or manufacture?

· How many days after receipt of order (ARO) can you deliver the equipment to Buckley SFB, CO?

Operations & Maintenance:

· What is the expected operational lifespan of the destruction blades/grinders before they require adjustment, rotation, sharpening, or replacement?

· What routine maintenance is required by the operator, and how frequently?

· Does the unit ship with a manufacturer-recommended startup and maintenance kit (e.g., replacement HEPA filters, collection bags, lubrication/basic tools)? If so, what items are included and how long are they expected to last?

Consumables, Parts, & Support:

· For common wear/consumable items (blades, pre-filters, HEPA filters, collection bags), are replacement parts stocked domestically and readily available for rapid shipment? What is the average shipping transit time?

· Is an extended warranty available beyond the standard manufacturer commercial warranty? If yes, please describe the terms and duration.

· What is the Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost for the proposed disintegrator? Please provide a breakout estimate that includes shipping to Buckley SFB, CO

· The offeror must specify the voltage, phase, and amperage requirements for all proposed equipment.

4. CAPABILITY STATEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Interested and capable vendors are requested to submit a brief Capability Statement addressing their ability to meet the requirements outlined above. Responses should include:

1. Company Information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone Number, and Email Address.

2. System Information: CAGE Code and Unique Entity ID (UEI).

3. Business Size: Business size standard and socio-economic status (e.g., Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB).

4. Product Capabilities: Make, model, and physical specifications of the proposed equipment.

5. NSA Compliance: Proof or confirmation that the proposed equipment is on the current NSA Evaluated Products List.

5. SUBMISSION DETAILS

All responses must be submitted electronically via email to the primary points of contact listed below.

· Deadline for Responses: August 7th 1300 MST

· Submit to: stephen.miller.43@spaceforce.mil and andrew.flamm.1@spaceforce.mil
