Scope of Work:
The Sterile Processing Service at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC) requires a one-time procurement of two (2) Stainless Steele instrument cabinets fully assembled.
RMRVAMC currently stores sterile processing service (SPS) instruments in peel packs on open shelving, a practice that increases labor demands and reduces instrument longevity due to exposure to contaminants and potential damage. To support a more efficient workflow, there is a one-time need to acquire stainless steel instrument storage cabinets for the prep and pack area, allowing clean replacement instruments to be stored in a controlled environment and made immediately available when defects are identified. Without these cabinets, staff must continue the time‑consuming process of sterilizing replacement instruments on demand, which is inefficient and adds to the workload. Purchasing these cabinets will protect instrument integrity, reduce repetitive sterilization labor, and ensure the timely availability of clean instruments, ultimately enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the SPS service.
Equipment will be shipped in original OEM packaging and will be inspected upon receipt to ensure equipment is free of defect and/or damage. The equipment will ship complete; no partial shipments will be accepted.
Date of manufacture must not be greater than 2 years before the purchase order date. The equipment must not be used or refurbished. Any batteries provided with the unit will not be manufactured more than 12 months before the purchase order issue date.
