About this file

This document is a Statement of Need (SON) for landscaping materials required by the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration for the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. It provides detailed specifications for the various types of materials needed, including sand, topsoil, crushed rock, mulch, and decomposed granite, along with delivery and submittal requirements.

The related federal contract opportunity is a combined synopsis/solicitation for these landscaping materials. It is a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside, with quotes due by 3pm EST on September 6, 2024. The government intends to award a firm, fixed-price services contract to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the solicitation provides the lowest price.
