About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the removal and replacement of four existing Culligan depth water filtration systems at the SNARC facility. The project requires removal and disposal of the existing filtration units, replacement with four new Culligan CSM-423D-NC depth filters (42" x 60", epoxy-coated carbon steel), and replacement of all associated plumbing within the Filter Room. The new system will include 3-inch Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe for control-to-filter connections and 3-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe connecting the filter vessels. Equipment specifications include Culligan GBE Controls matching the current system, four 3-inch stainless steel flow meters with communication cables and sample ports, and a 3-inch Brunermatic-style valve nest. The filters will operate at a service flow rate of 97 GPM at 6 PSI drop and a peak flow rate of 145 GPM at 11 PSI drop.

The contractor is responsible for removing media using a suction truck, demolishing outdated plumbing, setting and loading new vessels with multi-media, installing all plumbing extensions through walls with unions, and performing system startup and operational training. The customer's responsibilities are limited to providing proper drain, feed, and outgoing connections within 10 feet of equipment and providing electrical connections for the installed equipment. The work deliverables include new filtration equipment, associated plumbing materials, installation labor, system testing, and personnel training.
