SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

The purpose of this invitation for bid, (IFB1), is to obtain competitive bids for the outright purchase, and delivery of (1) one brand new, fully customized 8.5’ x 16’ dual axle aluminum trailer to be used to house and transport CDPHE’s Oil and Gas Response Mobile Air Measurement Laboratory. This system will be outfitted with the air measurement instrumentation needed for the Laboratory including two 6’ instrument racks and a benchtop GC-MS instrument and all associated equipment including 2 air conditioners for cooling. The trailer must include a diesel generator capable of operating without refueling for a 24-hour period with all equipment operating at an elevation of 8000’ above sea level. The fully loaded lab must not exceed the trailer towing capacity of the Ford F250 super duty gasoline truck purchased for this purpose (12500 pounds gross weight, 1250 pounds tongue weight less 10% altitude adjustment).

All deviations from these specifications should be referenced by heading number, and topic, and explained in detail on company letterhead. All major components of this bid are optional and are to be quoted individually and in as much detail as possible. Please quote the trailer and its ancillary equipment as separate line items. The CDPHE reserves the right to include/exclude individual components from this bid at their discretion.
