SOLICITATION QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

SOLICITATION #: FEDA20150003 ________________

SOLICITATION NAME:_High Density Mobile Storage System__________________________________

Vendor Question #1. I want to confirm that when it says "closed uprights" that this is stating that ALL uprights are to be closed including the end and intermediate uprights (standard is for only the end uprights to be closed).

CDPHE Answer #1. Yes, closed uprights is stating ALL uprights are to be closed including the end and intermediate uprights.

Vendor Question #2. Regarding the stated weight capacity of the shelving as being 2.75lbs per inch. This is not a standard method of describing shelf weight capacities as a "per inch" figure and can be confusing. I want to make sure that all bidders are including as an industry standard requirement at least 1 reinforcement per 36 x 24 shelf and meeting a minimum shelf capacity of 206lbs.

CDPHE Answer #2. Yes, the industry standard requirement of at least 1 reinforcement per 36 x 24 shelf and meeting a minimum shelf capacity of 206 lbs is what will be used for the stated weight capacity of the shelving.

Vendor Question #3. As mentioned in the walk thru please include a requirement for a "aisle safety lock" device to be locating on each mobile drive end.

CDPHE Answer #3. As mentioned in the walk thru, a requirement for an “aisle safety lock” device shall be included in all bids. The “aisle safety lock” shall be a standard color-coded safety locking pin on the three-spoke handle.
