Description/Specifications/Statement of Work

The primary mission of the 752nd Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (752 SOAMXS) Maintenance Unit is to provide safe and reliable aircraft by performing general aircraft servicing and air worthiness maintenance on the CV22 Osprey based at Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom. Several of the maintenance actions required to maintain this aircraft require the use of an overhead lifting device. The current methods used to lift components are either limited in scope or require a substantial set-up time both degrading our ability to produce safe reliable aircraft in a timely manner. Acquiring this style of crane will ensure we have this overhead lifting capability at any location, no matter the terrain which will reduce the turnround time of downed aircraft and enhance our ability to meet our flying hour commitment. The required motorized, mobile crane will eliminate the need to request for any outside agency's crane to perform any normal CV-22 maintenance action. This new capability will allow more effective replacement of components on any terrain at any location saving countless man hours (towing or repositioning aircraft) and any substantial downtime while waiting for a contractor or agency's assistance. The overall impact of this Mini Crane is the increase in efficiency and effectiveness of our maintenance effort.

The Mini Crane must be equal in compliance to the UNIC Mini Spider Crane (P/N: URW-376), that meet the following characteristics at a minimum:

Capacity 2.9t X 2.5m Total Width 1.3m Max Working Radius 14.45m Max Boom Length 14.61m Diesel Powered Tier 4 and 415v Mains Electric Zero Length Increase with Electric Option Operator Control of Outrigger Extension Intelligent Voice Warning System Radio Remote Control as Standard Working Area Limitation

Intelligent Throttle Activation for Economy and Ecology

The Mini Crane must be a mid-capacity machine that can be controlled either from the onboard operator's seat or from a distance using radio remote control. The Contractor shall provide the following standard equipment:

Computer Controlled Moment Limiter (Safe Load Indicator)

Overload Warning Lamps

Intelligent Voice Warning System

Radio Remote Control

Intelligent Throttle Activation.

Requirements

The 752nd Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (752 SOAMXS) have a requirement for a one (1) Mini Crane Brand Name or Equal to the UNIC Mini Spider Crane (P/N: URW-376) to be delivered to Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom.
