About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for obtaining and maintaining AMPP QP-1 Certification for the U.S. Coast Guard Yard's Paint Shop. The SOW outlines a specialized quality assurance audit to be performed by an AMPP auditor, who will review blasting and coating processes, verify documentation for vessel preservation work, and ensure compliance with customer specification requirements, including SFLC Standard Spec. 6310.

The sole-source procurement is directly with the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP), with a critical deadline of payment by December 15th to maintain certification. The audit requires the AMPP representative to physically visit the CG Yard, examining paint shop and quality assurance departments' processes. The primary point of contact is Reese Scott (410-636-4503), who will provide the audit application. Upon completion, AMPP must issue the QP-1 certification, which is essential for the Coast Guard Yard to estimate and perform preservation work on vessels.

The AMPP auditor must come to the CG Yard and perform audits with the Paint Shop and QA Departments. To keep our current certificate, the vender must be paid by December 15th. POC for this project will be Reese Scott 410-636-4503. The application for the audit and renewal will be provided by Reese Scott.
