About this file

This document is a Sole Source Determination for the renewal of satellite phone services for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Miami and Tampa Field Offices. The CBP intends to extend the existing satellite phone service to cover and deploy phones across its operational locations to support the Emergency Response team, especially during hurricane season. The renewal will ensure no lapse in service and allow CBP to retain the same phone numbers. The anticipated price will be determined fair and reasonable based on market research and comparison to the Independent Government Cost Estimate. CBP has determined there is only one source reasonably available and that urgent and compelling circumstances exist, justifying a sole source award to the incumbent provider, WHENEVER COMMUNICATIONS LLC, under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and (ii). No competitive solicitation will be issued.
