About this file
The City of Napa, California, has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ-2024-036) for Solar Camera Trailers, seeking quotes for a single solar camera trailer with the potential to purchase up to five units. The RFQ was released on August 26, 2024, with responses due by September 23, 2024, at 5:00 pm through the city's online procurement portal. The requested trailer must be a new, solar and battery-powered surveillance system featuring a minimum 20-foot telescoping tower, four cameras (including specific Axis camera models), a camera server, and a cellular modem. The system must be built offsite, fully tested, street-legal, and capable of being towed by a Ford F-150 2WD truck.
The detailed specifications include requirements for solar panels, battery power management, camera compatibility with Genetec systems, server configurations, and cellular connectivity using a Cradlepoint modem with ATT FirstNet capability. The city will provide the FirstNet SIM, and vendors must submit an updated W9 form and a matching quote with the pricing table. Electronics, batteries, and servers must be stored in a locked waterproof container, and the entire system must be delivered with all necessary wiring, connections, and mounting completed. The pricing table is set up for a single unit, with vendors expected to provide a unit cost and total cost for the solar camera trailer built to the specified requirements.
