AMENDMENT (1) TO SOLICITATION SOL-669-17-000001- RIA Equipment government will take responsibility for transporting the equipment to the airport?
Answer
Yes. USAID will take responsibility for transporting the equipment to the airport.
Question
2. The requirements document does not specifically state whether the equipment need to be brand new or used. Should we assume all equipment provided should be brand new?
All equipment must be brand new.
3. "DELIVERY: The contractor shall deliver the RIA equipment as specified in block 15 of the SF-1449 within 90 calendar days from the date of award." Can the government consider 150-180 ARO (after receipt of order/award)? From our experience procuring and shipping similar heavy equipment to West Africa, 150-180 days ARO (after receipt of order) is more realistic.
Block 15 of the RFQ is hereby amended. Delivery is required 150 days after receipt of offer.
4. The RFQ states "Offers must remain valid for 45 calendar days from the due date for the receipt of offers." Should we assume the government plans to issue an award within 45 calendars of November 18th 2016?
This means that the Government plans to issue an award within 45 calendar days of receipt of the proposal (commencing the day of receipt of proposal). USAID expects that all offers will remain valid for 45 days after being submitted.
5. Could you furnish the name or the Cage Code of the manufacturers of products?
USAID expects that the offeror will conduct market research to determine the Cage Code. Only equipment that meets or exceeds the specifications will be acceptable. Please note that equipment provided must be equipment manufactured in the U.S.
