STATEMENT OF WORK (SERVICES)

(SOW)

GENERAL INFORMATION

Title of Project:

Neurodevelopmental Survey of Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry (MATR) Twins Statement of Need and Purpose:

The purpose of this requirement is to obtain survey development, participant recruitment, and data collection services from the Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry (MATR) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in support of a neurodevelopmental research study led by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

The Contractor shall administer surveys to eligible twin participants and twin families, collect and manage study data, and obtain participant permission for the release of contact information to the NIMH study team for potential follow-up participation in additional study activities. The desired outcome is the collection of high quality, de-identified survey data and the identification and release of contact information for eligible and willing participants for potential subsequent phases of the NIMH study.

Background Information and Objective:

The Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry (MATR), maintained by Virginia Commonwealth University, is a research registry that facilitates population based twin studies. NIMH intends to conduct a neurodevelopmental research study involving twin participants to better understand factors associated with neurodevelopmental traits and outcomes.

To support this effort, MATR will conduct survey based data collection among registry participants, including adult twins, juvenile twins, and their parents. Survey responses will be de-identified and shared with the NIMH study team. Participants may also voluntarily authorize the release of their contact information to NIMH to enable follow-up recruitment for potential in person study activities. MATR will release contact information to the research team at NIMH for those participants who agree.

The objective of this project is to design and administer online surveys, recruit and contact eligible participants, collect and provide de-identified survey data, and identify participants who consent to be contacted by the NIMH study team for potential future research activities.

Period of Performance:

The anticipated period of performance is one (1) years from date of award.

The activities over the year will focus on development activities, pilot testing, preparation, as well as data collection and participant recruitment.
