DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT
The NIH Intramural Center for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias is an interdisciplinary initiative that is dedicated to advancing our understanding and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD). Biomarkers play a critical role in understanding, diagnosing, and monitoring disease progression and therapeutic efficacy. We aim to identify biomarkers which will provide information about underlying molecular changes associated with AD/ADRD in well characterized samples from patients.
An automated high-throughput proteomics analysis system will provide ability to identify biomarkers which will provide information about underlying molecular changes associated with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias in well characterized samples from patients.
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
The automated high-throughput proteomics analysis system meet the following salient characteristics:
• Must provide a fully automated, high-throughput proteomics platform capable of processing up to 288 samples per run
• Must provide an integrated qPCR system enabling end-to-end workflow from sample preparation to data output or pooled NGS library generation
• Must provide a total hands-on time of less than 30 minutes with simplified workflow and <5-minute instrument setup
• Must provide results in <6 hours for singleplex assays and <15 hours for multiplex \325/
