DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Experimental Therapeutics & Pathophysiology Branch uses RNA sequencing and epigenetic DNA methylation arrays with clinical blood RNA samples and neuronal cell culture samples to study the epigenetic state of chromatin in a certain biological context can shed light onto the molecular mechanisms underlying the observed gene expression patterns. To do so, the lab utilizes ATAC sequences to generate genome-wide regulatory maps, providing a simple and scalable way to assay the regions of the genome that are bound by TFs, and to compare how these landsacpes change between particular contexts or treatments.

The Experimental Therapeutics & Pathophysiology Branch requires Single-Cell Multiome ATAC + Gene Expression Sequencing Assay kits to define biomarkers of response to ketamine, on global epigenetic control of gene expression in cerebral organoids by utilizing high-throughput sequencing to analyze genome- wide chromatin accessibility and transcriptome gene expression profile in 8 human iPSC-derived cerebral organoids samples.
