About this file
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the National Park Service's Alaska Regional Office to replace non-compliant fire suppression systems in five employee housing cabins at Katmai National Park in King Salmon, Alaska. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside using NAICS code 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, & Air Conditioning) with a small business size standard of $9M. The project requires removing existing fire systems and installing new NFPA-compliant fire protection systems in non-historic residential structures, with a period of performance from September 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.
The solicitation will be evaluated using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) approach, considering three primary factors: price, technical capability to meet specifications, and prior experience performing work in Alaska. Interested vendors must have an active SAM.gov registration and submit quotes by June 2, 2025 at 1400 hours AD. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed-price purchase order, with vendors required to provide a project narrative demonstrating their ability to meet the project requirements and complete a detailed price schedule. The contracting officer is Janet Milson, who can be contacted at janet_milson@nps.gov or 907-201-2581.
