Coulter LS 13 320 XR laser diffraction particle size analyzer.
Annual preventive maintenance visits, including cleaning, checks, and replacement of wear parts as specified in Beckman’s maintenance procedures. In addition to the optical bench, the coverage includes the ULM sample module.
Performance verification/qualification (e.g., IQ/OQ or routine verification with control standards) to document that sizing accuracy and repeatability meet specifications.
100% coverage for parts, labor, and travel.
Priority technical support (phone/email/remote), including help with ADAPT software, methods, and basic troubleshooting.
Access to recommended software updates and certain firmware updates that affect instrument performance or data integrity.
Documentation to support GMP/21 CFR Part 11 environments such as service reports, calibration certificates, and audit-ready records of maintenance and qualifications.

GS0199 Prevention of Malicious Code (June 2018)
(a) Definitions Malicious code is a computer code developed for the purpose of causing some form of intentional damage to computer systems or networks. Malicious code may be a complete program or code imbedded in software programs that appear to provide useful functions. The term includes computer viruses and other destructive programs, such as "Trojan Horses" and network "worms."
(b) The contractor must have in place an anti-virus procedure to ensure that media supplied is uncontaminated by malicious code.
(c) The contractor is required to scan all delivered software to insure it is free of malicious code prior to its installation or operation on USGS-owned computers or contractor-owned computers connected to USGS computer systems or networks. Contractors using diagnostics software disks or connecting to a non-USGS computer while performing repairs or upgrades to a USGS computer will scan the serviced computer's drive(s) to insure they are free of malicious code upon completion of the service call, or prior to return of serviced equipment, if servicing is performed off-site.

GS1131 Unilateral De-obligation (May 2013)
The contractor shall submit all invoices under this award no later than ninety (90) calendar days after the period of performance has expired, unless a request for extension has been submitted to, and granted by, the Contracting Officer. After 120 calendar days have passed after the expiration of the period of performance, the Contracting Officer reserves the right to issue a unilateral modification deobligating any unexpended funds, and to initiate closeout procedures.

52.217-8 – Option to Extend Services (Nov 1999)
The Government may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder shall not exceed six
(6) months. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by providing written notice to the Contractor at least 30 days prior to the expiration of the then-current period of performance.
