About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) letter for Request for Quote (RFQ) #S01CACPROB25-0002, issued by the United States District Court, Central District of California. The Q&A addresses a specific inquiry regarding .40 caliber ammunition specifications. The vendor asked if 180 grain rounds could be substituted for the originally requested 175 grain rounds, to which the government agency clearly responded that only 175 grain rounds will be accepted for the requirement, maintaining the strict original specification.

The RFQ is for ammunition procurement by the United States Probation & Pretrial Services Office in Los Angeles, specifically seeking 9mm Full Metal Jacket (135 Grain, Brass Case) for Glock 9mm pistols (30,000 rounds) and .40 Caliber Full Metal Jacket (175 Grain, Brass Case) for Glock .40 Caliber Pistols (70,000 rounds). The solicitation explicitly requires new ammunition, with no reloaded rounds permitted. The document was issued by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts and provides clarification on precise ammunition grain weight requirements for the potential vendor.
