About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the North Kingstown School Department (NKSD) in Rhode Island for Snow Removal/Sanding Services. The bid (Bid #2025-31) seeks qualified contractors to provide snow removal and sanding services for four specific locations: North Kingstown High School, CD Data Building, Maintenance Facility, and Davisville Middle School. The bid is scheduled to be opened on November 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with a School Committee Business Meeting on November 15, 2025. The contract is structured for a three-year term, with pricing to be quoted for each year separately and for different snow accumulation ranges from 0-2 inches up to 8-10 inches.
The pricing structure requires bidders to provide detailed cost proposals for snow removal and sanding at each location, broken down by snow accumulation levels. Contractors must have a minimum of three years of experience with similar-sized accounts and must submit comprehensive documentation including project team licenses, insurance, performance bonds, and complete background checks for employees. The bid allows for potential pricing extension to neighboring school districts including East Greenwich, Exeter/West Greenwich, South Kingstown, and Jamestown. The North Kingstown School Department reserves the right to reject any proposal and will evaluate bids not just on price, but on factors including the bidder's performance history, financial stability, technical experience, and overall ability to meet the contract requirements.
