Q. 1: Is the NEC Lift sufficient for the required cleaning of all the internal windows?

A.1: Yes

Q.2: Is the contractor required to clean the blinds on site?

A.2: No

Q.3: How’s the accessibility to the external sides of Windows? Can we inspect the windows during our visit?

A.3: from inside and outside the building. Yes you can.

Q.4: Is the list of equipment mandatory, or can the contractor make a different proposal, in case a more efficient list of equipment is possible?

A. 4: NO, but if you wish to bring additional items, we can review.

Q.5: Could you provide to us the Embassy working schedules?

A. 5: 08:00 am to 5:00pm (cleaning can start each day at 0630)

Q.6: Could you specify a notification period for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual cleaning dates, and also for temporary services?

A.6: Please refer to the Statement of Work. Concerning temporary services, you will be notified by COR as needed.

Q.7: What are VAT taxes?

A.7: 20%

Q.8: How frequently are the VAT taxes paid?

A.8 For each invoice/payment

Q.9: To what government entity are the Taxes paid?

A.9: Moroccan Government

Q.10: Are we to submit an offer in USD or MAD?

A.10: MAD

Q.11. How many hours per day are we to work?

A.11: Eight (8) hours minimum but up to the maximum per local law.

Q.12: How many days per week? exceptions given to holidays.

A. 12: Five (5) days (some weekends periodically)

Q.13: Are there fees for security clearance?

A. 13: No

Q.14: How much are security clearance fees?

A.14: No fees

Q.15: What are the times the janitors can clean the secured areas?

A.15: As needed daily under escort

Q.16. Are the cleaning times and days for the secured areas to be the same every day?

A.16: As needed

Q.17: Are the contractors paid in USD or MAD?

A.17 In MAD

Q.18: How frequently are the exterior areas to be cleaned?

A.18 : It’s specified in the solicitation

Q.19: Who provides trash receptacle liners?

A. 19: contractor

Q.20: The government provides the toilet paper and hand towels and soap. Who provides the light bulbs?

A.20: US Embassy

Q.21: If cost effective, can the contractor have supplies shipped overseas?

A. 21: It’s up to the contractor

Q.22: In the event of an emergency, What is the contractors response time?

A.22 Immediately

Q.23: Who will be the governments POC?

A.23: Redouane Houache

Q.24: When is the anticipated start date?

A.24: After the Notice to Proceed Letter is issued.

Q.25: I would like to know how much time is available to the janitorial staff after working hours, so we can run large machinery, such as buffers in the hallways.

A.25: Before work starts – 06:30am.

Q. 26 Could you provide the number of janitors and if you require that their payment be done CASH or thru a bank A. 26: We can’t provide this information.

Q.27: I understand, that if a U.S. based company provides service to a Moroccan based business it must pay the VAT tax. However, the US embassy is a U.S. business, owned by the U.S. Does this mean that the Embassy and my company are not required to collect/ pay the VAT tax?

A.27: Each company is required to pay VAT
