About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for the City of Greensboro's Water Resources Department soliciting proposals for sludge dewatering and disposal and biosolids transportation and disposal services at the T.Z. Osborne Water Reclamation Facility located in McLeansville, North Carolina. The Department is seeking qualified and experienced contractors to provide one or both of the following services: management of liquid sludge dewatering and disposal, and/or loading and transportation of dewatered cake biosolids. Proposers have the flexibility to bid on either service individually or on both services as a combined package, allowing contractors to tailor their proposals to their capabilities and market focus.

The document outlines the operational requirements for managing biosolids generated at the water reclamation facility, with services potentially including sludge processing, dewatering operations, and the subsequent transportation and disposal of the resulting biosolids product. The scope establishes the framework for contractor performance standards, operational procedures, and the facility-specific conditions that bidders must address in their proposals to demonstrate their qualifications and experience in municipal wastewater biosolids management.
