2) Based on requests from industry after Industry Day was held in November 2022, a tour of the Cutter Lateral Water Treatment Plant (CLWTP) is being offered to vendors.
Location:
Cutter Lateral Water Treatment Plant Address: 323 County Road 7575 Bloomfield, NM 87413 Time: 9am MT
RSVP to Fred Lamone: 505-324-5014, flamone@usbr.gov
Instructions:
Please drive to the east entrance of the plant. If parking is full, Reclamation staff or operators will direct you to overflow parking. See the attached map. Operators will direct you to the breakroom to go over safety, sign-in, and an introduction of the tour.
The CLWTP is a conventional treatment facility that was commissioned and began water deliveries in October 2020. The plant utilizes a conventional treatment process consisting of coagulation, sedimentation, and sand and granular activated carbon filtration media. The tour will consist of a walkthrough of the flocculation/sedimentation facility, the process facility, the domestic pump building, the treated water pump building, drying beds, chemical building, backwash ponds, and site layout. Operators and Reclamation staff will guide you through the treatment process and will be available during the tour to answer questions related to the CLWTP Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and design. After the tour, we will meet back at the breakroom to answer any additional questions.
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required: Hart Hat, steel/composite toe safety boots, safety glasses, high visibility safety vest. Contractors should bring their own PPE.
