Edwards Air Force Base invites all interested commercial providers of window coverings and installation services to a site visit on January 3rd, 2021. During this day, Edwards AFB will present the requirement for the AFTC Headquarters building. While a site visit is NOT mandatory for this requirement it is highly encouraged.

For the site visit on Edwards AFB, California, PROSPECTIVE ATTENDEES MUST SUBMIT

ATTENDANCE REQUESTS TO THE POINT OF CONTACT (POC) IDENTIFIED BELOW. NO

REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ATTENDANCE.

The site visit will be conducted from 10:00 A.M. ‐ 12:00 PM PST on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022. The location of site visit/AFTC Headquarters building will be provided to attendees after submission of their attendance requests to the POC identified below. Attendance requests must be submitted before 9:00 A.M. on Monday, January 3rd, 2022.

The POC for this site visit is Jahdiel Salazar. Attendance requests must include all of the following information for each prospective attendee:

1. First Name

2. Last Name

3. Date of Birth (year, month and day)

4. Driver’s license number (expiration date)

5. State that issued the driver’s license

To prevent the breach of Personal Identifiable Information (PII), attendance requests sent by unencrypted email will not be accepted. If unable to send via encrypted email please contact Rochelle Adams at Rochelle.adams@us.af.mil and Ms. Jahdiel Salazar at jahdiel.salazar.1@us.af.mil; for alternate methods.

Driver’s License or Registration:

Insurance. All drivers must be prepared to show upon request.

It is unlawful for any person to:

Display or cause to be displayed or have in possession any canceled, revoked, suspended, fictitious, or fraudulently‐altered registration card, temporary permit, flightline decal, or fraudulently‐altered state driver’s license/operators permit.

Lend their registration card, temporary pass to any other person or knowingly permit the use thereof by any person or upon any other vehicle than that which it is intended.

Lend or knowingly permit the use of their driver’s license by any other person.

No person shall drive a motor vehicle on Edwards AFB unless the person has in their immediate possession a valid driver’s license.

Installation Traffic Codes

Vehicle operators on a DoD installation and operators of GOVs will not use cellular phones unless the vehicle is safely parked or unless they are using a hands‐free device. Holding a cell phone while operating the cell phone in speaker mode does not constitute use of a hands free device.

Cars manufactured after model year 1966 require a manufacturer‐approved restraint system meeting federal traffic safety standards.

Operators using vehicles equipped with air bags must still wear the manufacturer's primary restraint system (seat belts).

Speed‐Measuring Devices/Radar Detectors.

Use of radar detection devices to indicate the presence of speed recording instruments or to transmit simulated erroneous speeds are prohibited on DoD installations to include Edwards

AFB.
