About this file
This is a Single Source Justification form for a simplified acquisition of Explosive Detection Cards, submitted by the 633rd Contracting Squadron for the 733d Security Forces Squadron. The document justifies a sole-source award to DetectaChem Inc. for proprietary detection cards compatible with existing eSEEKER explosive detection devices.
The justification establishes that DetectaChem Inc. is the only authorized dealer of these detection cards, verified through GSA schedule review and direct contact with Jeff DeBaker at DetectaChem Inc. The requirement is not a bridge action, and future market research will be conducted to identify potential additional sources. The document is signed by TSgt Mark A. Mayle as the Contracting Officer on February 5, 2025. While the estimated contract cost field shows $0.00, the associated special notice indicates a requirement for 24,000 Explosive Detection Cards to be procured under NAICS code 334516 with responses due by February 18, 2025.

A review of contracts on the GSA schedule reflects that DetectaChem Inc. is the only company with a product to support our eSEEKER detectors. Contact was made with DetectaChem Inc. and Jeff DeBaker verified that DetectaChem Inc is the only authorized dealer of the detection cards.
