Questions and answers:
1. How many shelves and level of lights you need. Is there a maximum height for the samples ?
At minimum three shelves. Additional shelves that are movable and adjustable are required, as we work with boxes/cages of different heights. Lateral lighting is required as opposed to several levels of lights. No maximal height for the samples.
2. To operate at relative humidity, demineralized water must be supplied to the chambers. Will the laboratory be equipped with a water production station ?
There is a water production station nearby.
3. Will the installation be on the ground floor or upstairs? If upstairs, on what level and is there an elevator that can be used ?
It will be on the ground floor.
4. Can you provide a description of the sample type ?
Samples will vary from standard petri dishes (10 mm diameter) to small rearing cages (30 * 30 * 30 cm).
5. Number and dimensions of parish passages (if necessary), e.g., T°C/RH% probe passage ?
No specific need for parish passages for this incubator.
6. Do our technicians require QIQOQP services during installation? Any required qualifications ?
Yes, the technicians need to make sure that the equipment is properly set up, installed, and functions correctly.
7. Will there be insects in the small rearing cages ? Shall we propose a treatment againt the acid that produce the insects ?
Yes, there will be live insects in the rearing cages. We do not rear insects in densities that are high enough to worry about acid production. Therefore no special treatment is necessary.
8. You are requesting a minimum humidity of 30%. Or, below 40%, there is a change in technology with a substantial additional cost. Would 40% be sufficient for your application?
No. We aim to recreate summer weather conditions in mediterranean climates and humidity can go lower than 40% during summers.
To best meet your needs while optimizing costs, could you specify the desired limits in temperature/humidity combinations:
9. What minimum relative humidity (RH) is expected at 5°C?
50% humidity.
10. At what temperature do you want to reach the minimum threshold of 40% RH (or 30%)?
At high temperatures: > 30°C
11. What maximum RH is expected at 45°C?
30-40%
12. At what temperature should 90% RH be reached?
Within the range 15-30°C
13. Control and recording software compatible with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR Part 11 directive?
Yes, the offeror shall provide proof of compliance with FDA 21 CFR part 11.
