Questions and Answers for LES Life Insurance, Solicitation # SET10016R0003

Greetings to all, In accordance with U.S. Government contracting regulations, here are the answers to your questions raised at the pre-proposal conference held on October 27, 2015 at the U.S. Embassy.

Question 1.

What does it mean “Providing periodic reporting and accounting of financial results of the plan, including reporting formats” on page 42 under section (b) bullet number 6 Answer – There will be reporting requirements but the format will be provided at the time of award.

Question 2.

Are we going to give premiums in Bi-weekly or monthly?

Answer – U.S. Embassy employees are paid Bi-weekly, so please provide bi-weekly premiums as requested in the solicitation tables.

Question 3.

How are you going to pay premiums since the law and the business transaction trend in Ethiopia demands to settle annually.

Answer – If there is a local law mandating that Life Insurance be paid annually, please attach a copy of the pertinent sections of that law to your proposal.

Question 4.

On page 5 table B.7.2 we don’t see the purpose of column 4 because of “Partial and Total Disability Coverage” is included in column 3 “Accidental Death and Dismemberment” Answer – That is correct and we will amend the solicitation to reflect that.

Question 5.

On page 4, are we going to show the retention amounts separately or put them all together as a premium.

Answer – Retention amounts are part of the premiums, so in the tables on pages 2 to 4 they will not be broken out but you have to break them out in the table under B.7.2 on p. 5.

Question 6.

The employee statistics data on page 29 doesn’t have the full information to quote.

We’ll provide you the data which will not violate the employee privacy act.
