About this file
This is a Statement of Work for recurring maintenance and inspection services on Utility Vehicles (UTVs) and snow machines assigned to Detachment 1 of the 66th Training Squadron located at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The contractor must provide all personnel and equipment to perform services in compliance with manufacturer best practices and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The government will deliver and pick up vehicles to a contractor-operated service facility within 50 miles of Eielson AFB.
The UTV fleet consists of nine vehicles (six Polaris RAZR 570 models, one Polaris RANGER 800, and two Polaris RANGER XP 1000 models) requiring routine maintenance including oil and filter changes, air filter inspection/replacement, gear case inspection, belt and clutch service, brake system inspection, wheel bearing maintenance, suspension and drivetrain inspection, axle boot inspection, tire pressure checks, fluid level checks, and machine lubrication. The snow machine fleet includes eleven units (Ski-Doo Expedition Sport 550 models and Skandic SWT 900 ACE models) requiring more extensive preventative maintenance such as compression testing, air intake screen service, clutch and drive belt inspection/adjustment, engine mount and head bolt inspection, spark plug replacement, fuel filter service, brake system inspection, track tension and alignment adjustment, and bogie wheel inspection. Parts and repairs under $2,500 require government Point of Contact approval; those exceeding $2,500 require Contracting Officer approval. The contractor must notify the government when vehicles require parts and when ready for pickup. Services are not considered mission-essential during nationally declared crises. The period of performance is for a base year with four additional option years, with specific dates redacted from the document.
