About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) seeking a contractor to replace Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motor controls at Pump Station 840 in the Marin Headlands. The project requires removing old VFD components and installing two new 100hp VFD motor controls with Soft Start options for Pump #1 and Pump #2, ensuring full functionality and connection to the existing SCADA system. The contractor must provide a one-year warranty, maintain specific technical requirements such as UL-listed panel, above-ground controls, and alarm input protections, and ensure compatibility with existing Myers 100hp – 480 volt – 3-phase sewage pump infrastructure.
As an optional line item, the National Park Service is seeking a contractor to supply and install a new interface control screen to replace the current Allen Bradley Panel View 600. Work must be completed during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday), with a strict requirement that the complete system not be shut down for longer than 4 hours. If a longer shutdown is required, the contractor must provide sewage truck transport to maintain uninterrupted services. The base bid includes replacing VFDs and associated components, with Option 1 being the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) installation. The current system serves the Marin Headlands, which has 134 NPS staff members and receives over 4 million visitors annually.
