ELEVATOR MACHINE

ROOM

HVAC OUTDOOR

INSTALLATION

BOISE, ID

222-100-61251

2023-05-31

NOTES:

1. Installation of HVAC outdoor unit shall be done in a manner shown to minimize visual disturbance to the exterior of the building, maximize serviceability of the unit and roof, and maximize unit operation during snow accumulation on the roof.

2. Locate and drill holes for refrigeration line set starting inside Machine Room and as close as possible to Machine Room floor as shown. Contractor shall take care to drill pilot thru-hole and core drill both sides of brick wall to minimize damage to brick. Penetration zone shall be limited to area between door and down spout as shown.

3. Route refrigeration line set conduit together to minimize required width of custom flashing for aesthetics.

4. Furnish and install custom flashing for aesthetics. Flashing color shall match color of water down spout. Flashing shall be sized minimum width to cover refrigeration line set, conductors and conduit. Flashing cap at top shall be angled to prevent standing water.

Flashing shall extend at a minimum to top of the outdoor unit.

5. Furnish and install commercially available mounting brackets designed for HVAC outdoor units and L-style configured to allow base of unit within closest proximity to roof as shown.

Mounting brackets shall mount to the wall and shall not rest on the roof.

6. Refer to Sheet Index on drawing -61247 for reference, information, and standard drawings.
