1. Project Description
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines the requirements to upgrade the Mass Notification System at Cape Canaveral SFS. The project involves replacing legacy components with modern hardware and software to ensure system reliability and compatibility.
1.1 Purpose
The purpose of this project is to modernize the base's Mass Notification System by upgrading existing REACT 4000 equipment to the new REACT 5000 platform, migrating the control software to a Windows 11 environment, and enhancing control capabilities with new Intelligent Control Gateway (ICG) boards.
This effort will ensure the system remains fully functional, supported, and secure.
1.2 Background
The current Mass Notification System at Patrick SFB and Cape Canaveral SFS rely on older hardware and software that is approaching its end-of-life. To prevent compatibility issues with modern operating systems and mitigate the risk of service disruptions, an upgrade is necessary. This project will replace key components to align with current technology standards and maintain the base's critical alert and notification capabilities.
