Scope of Work Summary: Moving Services for Volusia County
This Scope of Work document outlines professional moving services for Volusia County, Florida, under an on-call service agreement with no guaranteed minimum volume. The County requires comprehensive moving services for government office relocations, including room-to-room moves within buildings, building-to-building moves on the same campus, and address-to-address relocations across County facilities. Services encompass the movement and reinstallation of office furniture, desks, workstations, filing cabinets, conference tables, and other County property, with the contractor responsible for providing all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, vehicles, and protective materials. The contractor must respond to standard service requests within forty-eight hours, with the County typically providing a five-business-day advance schedule for most moves. The contract term is three years with two optional one-year renewals. Service hours include normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) as well as after-hours, weekend, and holiday availability.
Pricing shall be provided on a per-trip basis with separate rates for small, medium, and large trucks, as well as differentiated labor rates for regular business hours versus after-hours work. All pricing must include supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, incidentals, and all necessary materials. The contractor assumes full liability for any damaged or lost property and must resolve such issues within thirty calendar days through replacement, repair, or reimbursement at original purchase price. The contractor must maintain professional appearance and conduct, participate in inventory management processes with the County Project Manager, and ensure all items are properly placed and functional at destination locations. The Scope of Work does not specify set-aside designations, contract value amounts, or funding sources, but indicates that extensive insurance requirements and E-Verify participation are mandatory compliance elements.
