About this file
This Scope of Work document outlines logistics support services for the City of Taylor, Michigan, specifically for the return of unused commercial kitchen equipment. The City seeks qualified LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight carriers to pick up two commercial kitchen ranges—a 6-burner unit and a 36-inch griddletop unit totaling approximately 1,180 pounds—from 23555 Goddard Road, Taylor, Michigan 48180, and deliver them to Vulcan/ITW's authorized return facility located at 3600 North Point Boulevard, Dundalk, Maryland 21222. The shipment must comply with RMA #122753 and include services encompassing liftgate pickup, proper handling of palletized equipment, secure transport, and timely delivery. Carriers are required to submit all-inclusive quotes and provide tracking information and a Bill of Lading (BOL) with the RMA number clearly displayed.
No specific response deadlines, bid opening dates, site visit requirements, or contract award dates are detailed in the scope of work. The procurement represents a single shipment rather than an ongoing contract with renewal options. Bidders should note that the all-inclusive quote must account for all transportation and handling services necessary to complete the return shipment in compliance with manufacturer specifications and the RMA requirements.
