About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a service requirement for the U.S. Coast Guard's CGC Hollyhock vessel. The contract calls for a Welin Lambie certified Senior Field Service Technician to perform a one-day onsite assessment of a Dual Point Davit system that experienced water intrusion and hydraulic leakage. Specific requirements include a 10-hour workday to assist with parts installation, conduct a davit assessment, and witness davit operations, with any discrepancies to be reported through the CFR process.
The technician will supply and install three specific parts: one adjustable elbow fitting (Part No. 890-90219), one fuse (Part No. 859-04299), and two panel keys (Part No. 859-04279). The performance period is set for one day between July 18 and August 1, with the work location at CGC Hollyhock in Baltimore, Maryland, Pier 1. The primary point of contact is Adam D. Barton, ENG4 Engineer Officer, with additional support from ENS Marcos Saldarriaga. Contractors must register for base access and provide valid identification at least one week prior to the contract's commencement.

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
1. BACKGROUND
CGC Hollyhock recently had a discrepancy of water intrusion inside the cabinet of their Welin Lambie Dual Point
Davit. The discrepancy required a replacement main inverter to correct the issues. However, the crew was unable to determine the root cause or potential of cascading issues from the casualty. CGC Hollyhock requires a Welin
Lambie certified Tech-Rep to go through and reevaluate and test the system. In addition to recertifying the system, CTR must replace the adjustable elbow fitting outlined below which cause a major hydraulic leak due to a failed O-
Ring.
