About this file
This Scope of Work document is prepared by the Department of Transportation (DOT) for a concrete crushing project at four garage sites. The project involves crushing a pile of broken concrete between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, with an estimated quantity of 1,176.98 tons. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, labor, and materials to crush the concrete to 3/4" Class A specifications (Gradation No. 11), and must be capable of removing rebar and excess dirt and fines from the crushed material.
The scope requires the contractor to follow specific quality control guidelines, including reporting and verification procedures for stockpiles over 2,000 tons. District 1 Materials will conduct random verification gradation for acceptance. The crushed material will be piled at the same location, and any removed rebar may become the property of the contractor. The estimated quantity is noted as an approximation and should be verified by the bidding contractor. No specific pricing terms or funding sources are detailed in this document.
