About this file

This is a Scope of Work document issued by the Office of Facilities Management and Campus Planning at City College of New York (CCNY) for preventive maintenance services on electrical equipment. The project involves performing preventive maintenance, inspection, and testing on four (4) isolation transformers and medium voltage switchgear components located at the Compton-Goethals Building in New York. The specific equipment includes isolation transformers (GO #MNY005256, Items 021-024) and Switchgear 6 components across four utility switches (Items 06-09), each containing three voltage transformers, Eaton VCP-W 150 circuit breakers rated at 50 kA and 1200 Amps at 60 Hz, SEL-787 protective relays, and Eaton FP5200 protection systems. Work shall be performed during normal business hours over multiple mobilizations, with pricing to include up to four (4) mobilizations, and any additional mobilizations requiring prior written authorization. The contractor must coordinate all outages and work schedules with CCNY's Facilities Management Department and provide comprehensive written service reports in PDF format within ten (10) business days of completing each mobilization.

The Scope of Work requires that all maintenance activities comply with Eaton's latest published maintenance procedures, IEEE standards, ANSI standards, and NETA maintenance testing practices. The contractor must be an authorized Eaton service provider or employ factory-trained technicians certified to service Eaton equipment, maintain properly calibrated testing instruments with current calibration certificates, and ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. Deliverables include detailed service reports documenting all preventive maintenance activities, test procedures, electrical test results, relay and protective device test results, inspection findings, photographs of significant deficiencies, and recommendations for corrective action or component replacement. Work is considered complete upon successful completion of all required preventive maintenance services, submission and acceptance of inspection and testing reports, resolution of any documentation deficiencies, and approval by CCNY's Facilities Management representative.
