1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

A. In accordance with Florida Department of Environmental Protection rules Chapter 62-701, of the Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), , the leachate shall be collected, treated and disposed of properly. On the occasions when, due to large amounts of rainfall, the County’s pumps cannot handle the volume of leachate generated, supplemental hauling shall be required on an as-needed basis. Under this contract the supplemental hauling of this leachate may be hauled from Orange County Solid Waste facilities to the manhole located at the landfill on Young Pine Road. The discharge point may be changed based on operational needs.Comment by Hernandez Fernandez, Alina: Can we cite where these are located?Comment by Villalona, Ana I: addedComment by Hernandez Fernandez, Alina: May or shall?Comment by Villalona, Ana I: May because if that location is not working for any reason it gives the County options to send the Contractor to another location somewhere since the discharge point may be changed at any time.Comment by Hernandez Fernandez, Alina: See revision.

McLeod Road, Orlando, FL 32811, this distance is approximately twenty-three (23) miles, the 7B & 8 cell leachate storage tanks, this distance is approximately three (3) miles, and from the Southern Expansion leachate storage tanks, this distance is approximately one (1) mile. Comment by Hernandez Fernandez, Alina: I see a section for leachate hauling requirements, but I don’t see one for cleaning services. I suggest a section be added to the scope speaking on the specific requirements for this portion of the scope of services.
