About this file

This Scope of Work (SOW) details a solar power installation project for the National Park Service Desert Research Learning Center in Tucson, AZ. The contract requires the contractor to provide materials and installation services for a 20.88 kW DC grid-tied photovoltaic solar panel system on the Fire Building's roof, designed to offset 60% of the facility's current electrical usage and account for increased consumption from a new seed storage cooler.

The project scope includes procuring and installing 48 Q Cells Tron 435-watt modules, 24 APSystems DS3-L grid-tied inverters, an EMA monitoring system, necessary electrical components, and required permits from Pima County. The contractor must coordinate inspections with Tucson Electric Power, provide a 10-year labor warranty, and a 5-year power-production guarantee. The installation will be performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with the total period of performance set at six months from the contract award date. The electrical infrastructure, including a 50kVA 1-phase 120/240V transformer, has been confirmed to have sufficient capacity for the proposed solar system.
