About this file
This is a pricing schedule submission document for Request for Proposal No. 260000002176 issued by the Michigan Department of Veteran and Military Affairs and Michigan Veteran Homes for nutritional services at two facilities: Michigan Veteran Homes Chesterfield Township (MVH CT) and Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans (MVHDJJ). The RFP requests comprehensive nutritional services including resident meals, modified diets, snacks, nourishments, employee meals, and menu items. Contractors must submit pricing in a modifiable format using the provided Schedule B - Pricing Sheet Excel workbook, with the option to submit an additional non-modifiable PDF version. Failure to complete the pricing schedule as requested will result in proposal disqualification.
The pricing structure establishes a competitive bidding model where the Fixed Monthly Management Support Fee is the only competitively bid price; all other costs are reimbursed as passthrough items based on actual invoices. Contractors must provide estimated annual costs for seven cost categories: food cost, consumable supplies, salaries and wages, payroll taxes and fringe benefits, equipment and service ware, and overhead expenses. The food cost estimates are calculated using State-provided volumes for resident counts and meals per day that contractors cannot modify. The Fixed Monthly Management Support Fee covers corporate oversight management, regional management, administrative support, company profit, and other indirect non-passthrough costs. Contractors are encouraged to offer quick payment discount terms and must certify that pricing was developed independently without consultation or agreement with other contractors.
