The CPT Cone System must include two 50-meter cables, two 20-ton digital piezocones with tri-axial geophones and dual-axis inclinometers, 80 piezocone filters, 8 tips, 6 friction sleeves, and associated hardware. The contractor must also provide a data acquisition and analysis package compatible with Windows 10, software for acquiring and processing CPT data, and three days of onsite training at MDOT's Geotechnical Services Office in Lansing, Michigan, with training extending to project locations throughout Michigan's lower peninsula. All equipment components—push system, cones, and data acquisition system—must be manufactured by a single United States-based vendor. Delivery is expected within 30 calendar days of order to MDOT's Construction & Technology Building in Lansing, Michigan.

Pricing must remain firm for 90 days from proposal submission, with all shipping and training costs included in the total price. The contractor must provide technical support for the lifetime of the equipment and maintain a minimum 12-month warranty on all provided equipment. Payment will be made via electronic funds transfer upon submission of invoices that include the date, purchase order number, quantity, item description, unit prices, and total price. The contractor must also specify its transportation method and ensure optimal packaging on 4-way pallets to achieve the lowest freight rates.
