The mission of the NIH also includes enhancing health, lengthening life, reducing illness and disability, conducting, supporting and making medical discoveries that improves and saves people’s health and lives.
The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) is a part of the NIH, with a mission to catalyze the generation of innovative methods and technologies that will enhance the development, testing, and implementation of diagnostics and therapeutics across a wide range of human diseases and conditions.
The NCATS Early Translation Branch (ETB) collaborates with investigators at NIH and in the academic, biopharmaceutical and nonprofit sectors to generate probes for studying a diverse cross-section of human biology, focusing specifically on new targets and untreatable diseases. The project team is collaboratively developing a high-throughput screening assay that assesses chromatin accessibility. This requisition is to procure DNA purif ication and size selection reagent that can be used in a novel screening assay. The experimental procedure has been optimized for use with the requested KAPA Pure Beads.
The collaborative team aims to develop a high-throughput chromatin assay. The reagent has been used in the optimization phase of the protocol and this purchase will provide material for high-throughput screening.
Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of this requirement is to procure thirty
(30) KAPA Pure Beads, a reagent needed for the amplif ication of DNA for next generation sequencing in high-throughput assay for chromatin. Configured for the Early Translation Branch (ETB) at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).
