About this file

The document is a Bid Bond for the State of Colorado Office of the State Architect State Buildings Program, specifically for Adams State University's Student Union Building Operable Wall System Replacement project (Project No. 2024-02). The bid bond requires the principal (bidder) to maintain their proposal in full force for 30 days after proposal opening, with a requirement to provide a proposal guaranty of 5% of the total bid price. If the principal's proposal is accepted, they must execute the required agreement, performance bond, labor and material payment bond, and provide necessary insurance documentation.

The bid bond serves as a financial guarantee that protects the state entity (obligee) in the event of bidder default, with the 5% bid bond amount subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages. The associated contract opportunity involves replacing the existing partition Operable Wall System (Kwik-Wall) in the Student Union Building banquet rooms, which will include reusing the existing ceiling track and replacing all individual operable panels. The bond emphasizes the bidder's commitment to the project and provides financial assurance to Adams State University and the State of Colorado.
