QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
RFQ SB134117RQ0320, FEMTOSECOND FIBER LASER
QUESTION 1:
Is a CEO signal required?
ANSWER:
This is a request for femtosecond fiber lasers and producing the CEO signal (optical or microwave) is not required. However, the lasers must have feedback mechanisms for broad bandwidth control of the CEO frequency, as detailed in the technical specifications. Implicit in this, is that the end user could implement an approach to detect the CEO frequency of the provided fiber lasers.
QUESTION 2:
If a CEO signal is provided, is an RF or optical signal preferred?
The vendor is not required to provide a CEO signal. See 1
QUESTION 2:
Will a 220 kHz cavity length tuning range for the 100 MHz systems be acceptable?
The technical specification is >330 kHz tuning of the cavity length.
