RFP SB1341-12-RP-0026

Amendment 001

The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to the following questions posed by potential offerors. NIST’s responses are in red.

1. Can you tell me if there is an incumbent for this project or if this is a new requirement? Some parts of the requirement are currently being performed by various contractors; however, there is no incumbent for the entire requirement.

2. Can you tell me if this work must be completed at NIST or if it can be completed at the vendor location? Please see Section D.1 of the RFP.

3. Can you tell me the evaluation criteria for the proposals for this solicitation? Please see Section M.2 of the RFP.

4. Can you tell me if there is an approved budget for this project and the dollar value? This is an RFP for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract. No funding will be obligated on the base contract. Funding is obligated when task orders are issued. Please also see Section B.1 of the RFP for more information.

5. I am looking into this RFP but would like to know what exactly needs to be manufactured. I have skimmed through the requirements and so far our company can qualify but what exactly is needed? Please see the Statement of Work for the base IDIQ in Section C.1 of the RFP and the Statement of Work for the first task order in Section C.2 of the RFP for more information.

6. Is the RFP seeking a company to help make a product? If so where can I view the drawings and spec sheets? We are not seeking a company to help make a product.
