About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for procuring flowmeter equipment and signal conditioning devices to support two NASA projects at Kennedy Space Center facilities.
The SOW specifies the requirement to order 6 turbine flowmeters (OEM Part # FT-08AER1-GEA-1) and 6 signal conditioners (OEM Part # TWA-A-9-00-IS). The flowmeters are 1/2" turbine units with a maximum capacity of 10 ACFM and 300-degree Fahrenheit rating, featuring 316 stainless steel housings with 430F stainless steel rotors and 440C stainless steel ball bearings. Each unit includes a modulated carrier pickoff with MS connector for air service application. The flowmeters require CEESI calibration in air at 293 PSIA across 10 points ranging from 31 to 206 SCFM, with standard conditions of 14.7 PSIA and 60 degrees Fahrenheit, per KSC Drawing 79K03436 and calibration specification 90-88669-610. The signal conditioners are two-wire 4-20mA flowmeter transmitters with FTI RF pickoff input in explosion-proof enclosures (Class 1, Division 1 & 2, Groups A, B, C & D) and FM intrinsically safe certification. Both items are classified as EAR99 under ECCN/ITAR regulations. Work will be performed at the Vehicle Assembly Building, Mobile Launcher, and Multi-payload Processing Facility. The objectives include re-establishing Orion scrubber purge capability using existing ML2 BAIR hardware (GP00688) and integrating redundant flowmeters into the Cabin Air Supply Panel for direct SCFM measurement and real-time firing room data transmission (GP00694).
