About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of specialized electric motors for NASA's Open eVTOL RAVEN civil research aircraft program. The procurement requires ten (10) EMRAX 228+42% Liquid Cooled (LC) High Voltage (HV) motors equipped with coolant fittings and Holder Bearing packages. These motors have been specifically selected for component testing and integration, with aircraft hardware and subsystems already designed to interface with this motor model.
Delivery is required to NASA Langley Research Center's Shipping and Receiving Distribution Center (Building 1206) located at 4 S. Marvin Street, Hampton, VA 23681. NASA personnel will inspect shipments on behalf of the Open eVTOL subproject before redistributing motors to final recipients. Motors must remain at the distribution center to prevent excessive handling of heavy equipment across the facility and will be immediately forwarded to their final destinations following inspection. The expected lead time from purchase award is ten (10) weeks, with the note that this timeline does not account for year-end holidays that may impact delivery schedules.

Statement of Work for Purchase of Test and Integration Motors for Open eVTOL RAVEN Aircraft
The procurement is for EMRAX 228 + 42% motors that have been chosen for the Open eVTOL RAVEN civil research aircraft and must be acquired for component testing and integration. Aircraft hardware and subsystems have been designed to interface with these motors.
Deliverables: Ten (10) EMRAX 228+42% Liquid Cooled (LC) High Voltage (HV) motors with coolant fittings and Holder Bearing package.
Place of Delivery: Motors shall be delivered to NASA Langley Shipping and Receiving Distribution Center (B 1206) at 4 S. Marvin St., NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA 23681,. will inspect the shipment on behalf of the Open eVTOL subproject and then divide the order for shipping to final recipients. NOTE: Motors MUST remain at the Distribution Center to avoid excessive handling of heavy loads across the center. Motors will be immediately shipped to final destination upon inspection.
Delivery Lead Time: The expected lead time to receive the motors from EMRAX is estimated as ten (10) weeks from purchase award. This does not account for holidays as we approach the end of the year.
