About this file

This document is a technical specifications sheet for a solid etalon procurement. The requirement is for two solid etalon devices manufactured from fused silica with a free spectral range of 400 pm and a full width half max transmission bandwidth of 40 pm +/-10 pm. Each etalon must be mounted using Norland 61 bonding between two annular pieces of fused silica after coating, with a coating aperture of 32 mm and clear aperture exceeding 26.8 mm. The outer diameter including mounting glass ring is 45.0 +/-0.1 mm, and the total thickness is 17.018 mm ± 0.035 mm.

Performance requirements specify a center wavelength of 467.8423 nm (vacuum) at 45°C with a tolerance of +0 pm / -30 pm, a maximum transmission of greater than 80% (with a goal of >90%), and a field of view exceeding 8-9 mrad while meeting all other specifications. The etalon must operate within a temperature range of 45-60°C with a temperature tuning rate of approximately 2.9 pm/°C. Post-delivery polishing may be performed at NASA Langley Research Center to achieve the exact wavelength if testing requires adjustment. The lead time is 2 months as soon as possible, with the place of performance designated as Langley Research Center, 23681-2199.
