About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) procuring operational and logistical support services for SeaPRISM and SMART-S sensor instruments.

The vendor shall manage and operate the AERONET-OC site at the Eureka platform, overseeing all site operations including regular maintenance, calibration support, and high-quality data collection using the specialized Cimel instrument, while coordinating with NASA on maintenance and support of the collocated SMART-S instrument. Primary responsibilities include operating Camel sun photometers to capture hyperspectral spectral datasets (340-1640 nm wavelengths) for direct sun, moon, and sky measurements. The vendor must notify AERONET of new, updated, or modified sensor installations and develop communication mechanisms with AERONET staff to understand operational scope and robustness. Raw data from CIMEL sun photometers shall be transmitted from the field to AERONET in near-real time. Key deliverables include timely raw data delivery, maintenance request responses, instrument health evaluations per AERONET's data quality assurance policy, and timely calibration (every 12-18 months using standard AERONET methods). SMART-S data shall be collected monthly for validation purposes and made publicly available through the PACE validation team. The spectrometer and sensor head require calibration every six months. The place of performance is NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, 8800 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, Maryland 20771, with a performance period of 24 months from the date of award.
