About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a hardware upgrade and installation service at NASA Langley Research Center. The procurement requires Heidelberg Instruments to remove and replace the current write head on an existing Heidelberg 66+ photolithography instrument with a high-resolution write head capable of processing features as small as 300 nanometers, compared to the current 1 micrometer capability. The contractor must complete installation, testing, and performance verification within 60 days of contract award, with an ideal completion date of October 30, 2026.
The scope encompasses hardware supply and on-site installation services only. No applicable background documents, milestones, government-furnished property, or government-furnished information have been identified for this contract. The deliverable is a single, installed and tested high-resolution write head integrated into the Heidelberg 66+ system at NASA Langley Research Center. No specific pricing terms, response deadlines, contract vehicles, or set-asides are addressed in this SOW document.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1.0 Introduction/Background: NASA Langley owns and operates a Heidelberg 66+ which is a photolithography instrument currently capable of creating features as small as 1 um. This feature size is not small enough for the needs of several NASA projects.
2.0 Scope of Work: The procurement is for the hardware and installation of a high-resolution write head on the Heidelberg 66+ at NASA Langley Research Center. The upgrade enables the processing of substrates with features as small as 300nm.
3.0 Objectives: To reduce the smallest writable feature size on the Heidelberg 66+ at NASA
Langley from 1 um to 300 nm.
4.0 Description of the Work/Contractor Tasks: Heidelberg Instruments will remove the current write head and replace it with a new high-resolution head and verify the improved performance.
5.0 Deliverables: Installed and tested high resolution write head in the Heidelberg 66+ at NASA
Langley within 60 days of award, ideally October 30 2026.
