This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for an ASME Section IX Orbital Welding Training Program to be delivered as a five-day instructor-led course at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC).

The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, consumables, and expertise necessary to deliver a comprehensive five-day orbital welding training course for up to 10 MSFC personnel involved in fabrication, inspection, testing, and quality assurance of welded systems used in mission-critical flight and ground support applications. The course must include classroom instruction, hands-on practice, demonstrations, and competency assessments aligned with ASME Section IX code requirements, weld procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), orbital welding system setup, calibration, parameter adjustments, safety procedures, and practical welding exercises with instructor oversight. The Contractor is responsible for providing a qualified instructor with demonstrated experience in ASME Section IX and orbital welding operations; all course materials, manuals, and reference documents; welding equipment, tooling, fixtures, and consumables for hands-on learning; participant evaluations; and certificates of completion for those meeting course requirements. The Government will provide classroom or shop space, facility access, utilities, safety clearances, UHP Argon gas, electricity for workstations, cutting stations for weld coupons, participant identification, and scheduling coordination. Training shall meet professional instructional standards and conform to current ASME Section IX requirements, delivered on-site at MSFC for five consecutive business days as scheduled with the Government point of contact. Acceptance criteria include full delivery of all training modules, adequate hands-on practice and equipment access, alignment with ASME Section IX content, issuance of completion certificates, and verification by the MSFC technical representative that course objectives have been met. All Contractor personnel must comply with MSFC safety, security, and facility access requirements and welding safety protocols, with no disclosure of export-controlled, proprietary, or sensitive information during training.
